Host an Event!
You can help us build schools in Africa! Like the 7th grader in Rochester, NY who gave presentations at her school. Together, she and her classmates raised $1630.56! Or two teenagers from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, who raised $10,000 in one summer.
Consider hosting a bake sale, car wash, cocktail party… We’ve been incredibly fortunate to receive donations from schools, churches and individuals. Fund-raising ideas have ranged from spaghetti suppers to a young woman who ran a marathon and raised $1,000 in pledges from family, friends, and co-workers.
Our organization is volunteer-run, so whatever you donate goes 100% toward school construction. We are a registered nonprofit with the IRS and the State of Massachusetts, so donations to Build a School in Africa are tax deductible.
